Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Vox Pioneer (the "Service"), an AI-assisted English-learning product. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Vox Pioneer lets you record or upload spoken English and receive automated transcription, analysis, and coaching, along with writing feedback, pronunciation help, practice drills, and review exercises.
Feedback is generated by automated systems and large language models. It is provided for learning and practice only, may contain errors, and is not a certified language assessment, professional advice, or a guarantee of any outcome.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
We use Google sign-in for authentication; your use of Google is also subject to Google’s terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will not upload content you do not have the right to share, record other people without their consent where required, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive material.
We apply automated usage limits to protect the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or these Terms.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the audio, text, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending it to our AI processing providers for transcription and analysis (see the Privacy Policy).
You can delete your recordings and content within the Service; deletion removes them from active use subject to routine backup retention.
5. Plans, credits, and billing
Speaking analysis is metered in sessions (credits); other features are offered without per-use metering, subject to fair-use limits. New accounts receive a limited free trial. Continued use of AI features after the trial requires a paid plan.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar, acting as merchant of record; your purchase is also subject to Polar’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep access through the paid period; unused rolled-over credits remain usable while your balance is positive.
Prices may change with notice for future billing periods. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Vox Pioneer and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service under these Terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI-generated output. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vox Pioneer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [Confirm jurisdiction with counsel.]
