Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data Vox Pioneer collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Service.

1. Data we collect

Account data: your name and email address, provided via Google sign-in.

Voice and learning content: audio you record or upload, the transcripts and analyses derived from it, and your writing, drills, and review activity.

Usage data: feature usage, progress, and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

Payment data: handled by our payment provider (Polar). We do not receive or store your full card details; we receive your subscription status and plan.

2. How we use your data

To provide the Service — transcribe and analyse your recordings, generate feedback and exercises, track your progress, and manage your plan and credits.

To secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and provide support.

To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing and service providers

To deliver analysis, we share the necessary content with trusted providers acting on our behalf (sub-processors):

• Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription of your recordings.

• OpenAI — analysis, coaching, grading, and text-to-speech.

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account data and recordings.

• Polar — payment processing (as merchant of record).

• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

• Google — sign-in/authentication.

These providers process your data only to provide their service to us and under their own commitments. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Recordings and derived content are kept until you delete them or close your account, subject to routine backup retention. You can delete recordings within the Service.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights in the Service where available, or by contacting us. We will respond as required by applicable law.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (authentication) and to remember preferences such as your language. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

7. Security and international transfers

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; we rely on their safeguards for such transfers.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
